Welcome to Roots Rock Afro Caribbean Design. My name is Kaidy-Ann Morgan, and I am the owner of Roots Rock Afro Caribbean Design. I am a Hotel Specialist, 45 years old mother of three, I am from the Caribbean Island of Jamaica and have been living in Germany with my family for the past 31years. My inspiration for starting this business: I enjoy creating beautiful things. I love to sew, to decorate and rearrange my home and create things from scratch. I have always had a passion for creativity. My inspiration also comes from my cultural background which I try to integrate in my creations and my love and admiration for the beautiful continent of Africa, it’s culture and it’s people. The idea for this business was brought to life as I decided to sew African print Face Mask for my loved ones and myself during the pandemic. As more and more people started to enquire about where we got our Face Mask and were interested in purchasing them, I decided to start a small business. I decided to make matching Headwear and other beautiful accessories, which were immediately an eye-catcher and sparked interest whenever we wore them. I am very thankful and grateful for the support that I have got from my family in proceeding to start this business. They have been my motivation along the way. I truly enjoy what I do. The Brand: Roots Rock Afro Caribbean Design is a small handmade business located in Lower Saxony, Germany, and we specialise in unique Afrocentric Accessories. Most of our products are made with Ankara Cotton which is commonly known as Ankara prints, African prints, African wax prints, Holland wax, and Dutch wax and is a 100% cotton fabric with beautiful patterns. It is usually a vibrant, colourful cloth and is primarily associated with Africa because of its tribal-like patterns and motifs. These fabrics are also commonly worn in the Caribbean. Each Fabric tell a story of heritage and culture. All of our products are created with great attention and detail and the majority of our products are handmade by the owner and designer Kaidy-Ann Morgan. We also work with production partners in Africa and the Caribbean to create unique and authentic handmade products for our customers. We offer products that will blend perfectly with your everyday attire and that are ideal gifts. Building a brand is not an easy task, but we are up for the challenge. Our goal is to offer high quality products and provide great service that our customers will enjoy and appreciate. We hope that you join us on this wonderful journey.
